Sebelum Akta 828, pindaan besar terakhir kepada KTN adalah melalui Akta A1644 (2016) dan Akta A1601. Namun, Akta 828 diisytiharkan berkuat kuasa pada (sebahagian peruntukan) dan sepenuhnya pada 1 Mac 2023 .
