This release was critical for companies not ready to migrate their entire infrastructure to the cloud-based V6 or 3DEXPERIENCE platforms. It provided a "bridge" capability, allowing V5 data to be seamlessly compatible with V6 environments. For manufacturing engineers, this meant that processes defined in DELMIA V5-6R2013 were future-proofed. They could design a robotic workcell in the familiar V5 interface, knowing the data structure was compatible with the newer collaborative paradigms that were rapidly entering the industry.
