Often, MXT devices are misidentified by Windows as generic devices. MTP is designed for media files and portable devices. If your industrial MXT hardware is being forced into an MTP profile, it will not function correctly. If you see an "MTP" error: Right-click the device in Device Manager. Select Update Driver > Browse my computer > Let me pick . Uncheck "Show compatible hardware" .
