Rama, along with his brothers Lakshmana, Bharata, and Shatrughna, grows up in a palace filled with luxury and comfort. The film’s very creation is a legend in itself. It was a groundbreaking Indo-Japanese co-production, conceived by the late, great animator Yugo Sako (known for The Buddha series) and directed by Koichi Sasaki and Ram Mohan (the father of Indian animation). The goal was bold: to introduce the 2,500-year-old story of Rama to a global audience through the universal language of Japanese animation.
