Xem Phim Malcolm In | The Middle ((better))

At its core, it’s the story of a lower-middle-class family navigating life with four (later five) rambunctious boys. The title character, Malcolm (Frankie Muniz), is a gifted teenager with a genius-level IQ, stuck in a dysfunctional household. His mother, Lois (Jane Kaczmarek), is a screaming, iron-willed disciplinarian who loves her sons fiercely but shows it through threats and chore charts. His father, Hal (Bryan Cranston, pre- Breaking Bad ), is a lovable, immature goofball who’s just as likely to spend the day teaching the boys how to prank-call as he is to fix a leaky pipe. Then there’s Reese (Justin Berfield), the sadistic but dim eldest brother; Dewey (Erik Per Sullivan), the quiet, artistic, and surprisingly cunning middle child; and later, Jamie, the baby.

Traditional sitcoms featured wise, patient parents (e.g., Cliff Huxtable, Danny Tanner). Malcolm in the Middle offers Lois (Jane Kaczmarek) and Hal (Bryan Cranston). Lois is loud, uncompromising, and frequently unfair; Hal is childish, irresponsible, and easily distracted. Yet the show refuses to punish them for these flaws. Instead, their imperfections are presented as survival mechanisms in a lower-middle-class environment. Lois’s tyranny is born from managing five unruly sons on a cashier’s salary; Hal’s escapism (roller-skating, painting, inventing) is a coping strategy for emasculation and financial strain. The show suggests that functional parenting is a myth—survival is the only goal. xem phim malcolm in the middle
