Once Xentry is installed, you must tell it which hardware to use. Mercedes provides a utility called (Select PassThru). Run this and select "Tactrix Inc. - Openport 2.0" from the list. Key Limitations to Remember
: One of the most common issues is that Xentry often cannot "see" if the ignition is on or off through the Openport. You may need to manually confirm ignition status in the software when prompted.
It primarily supports CAN-bus vehicles (roughly 2006 and newer). It will not work on older K-Line Mercedes models (like the W210 or early W203).
You need a patched or "developer" version of Xentry that includes Passthru support. Retail OEM downloads will not work. Look for or Xentry Passthru bundles (common versions: 12.2022, 03.2023, 09.2024).
Xentry Passthru communicates via the (ISO 22900-2). You need to edit the PDUConfig.xml file to point to your Openport.
